Updating Pre-Event Status

Understanding how to manage your campaigns like a pro by updating confirmation statuses in Trailmap.

Updating statuses helps you keep track of who is planning to attend your event and who is not. This gives you a more accurate idea of what to expect on the day of your event.


2. How to Update a Status

To update a registrant’s status:

  • Go to your registrant list

  • Click the dropdown arrow next to “Registered”


3. Understanding Status Types

Statuses are divided into two sections:

  • Pre-event statuses: Used before the event (above the divider)

  • Post-event statuses: Used after the event (below the divider)

There is also an option to clear a status if it was selected by mistake.


4. Confirming Attendees

When you mark someone as Confirmed:

  • Your event totals update automatically

  • You’ll see real-time changes in expected attendance


5. Canceling Registrants

If you mark someone as Canceled:

  • Steep will stop all pre-event communications for that contact

  • They cannot be added back into reminders unless you contact the Steep team


6. Automatic Updates

If you’re using Steep’s confirmation call services:

  • Pre-event statuses may update automatically for you
