Using Trailmap for Webinars

Learn how you can use Trailmap to manage your webinar campaigns like a pro, and understand key differences between seminars and webinars in Trailmap.

Webinars follow a very similar layout to seminars in Trail Map, but there are a few key differences to be aware of.


1. Map Differences

In webinars:

  • You will not see a venue pin or attendee location pins on the map

  • This is because addresses are not collected during webinar registration


2. Tracking Attendance

Unlike seminars, webinars allow you to track attendance automatically.

You can see:

  • Who attended

  • Who did not attend

This information is available:

  • In the registrant list

  • In the summary chart at the top


3. Replay Tracking

If you send out a webinar recording after the event:

  • Registrants who click and watch the replay will have their status updated

  • You may see a status like “Watched Replay”

It’s a good idea to monitor your event for a few days after to track this activity.


4. Pre-Event Process

You should follow the same pre-event process as seminars, including:

  • Confirmation calls

  • Preparing attendees ahead of time


5. Notes and Guest Names

Adding notes and guest names works the same way for webinars as it does for seminars.
