Using Trailmap for Direct Mail
Learn how you can use Trailmap to manage your Direct Mail campaigns like. pro, and understand key differences between seminars and Direct Mail in Trailmap.
Direct mail campaigns in Trail Map function very similarly to seminar campaigns, with one key difference.
1. RSVP Link
In direct mail campaigns, you’ll see an RSVP link at the top of the campaign.
You can use this link to:
Send to your email database so contacts can register
Allow registrants to sign up and have their information automatically recorded in Trail Map
2. Previewing the Landing Page
The RSVP link can also be used to preview your landing page.
This is the page registrants see when signing up
The page is automatically created when your order is placed
It may still be in progress until you receive an approval email from your Steep team
3. Adding Leads Manually
If you want to manually add a contact:
Do not use the RSVP link
Instead, click “Add New” inside Trail Map
Enter the contact’s information and save
Once added:
The contact will appear in your list
A green indicator will show that the lead was manually entered
4. What Happens After Adding a Lead
When you manually add a lead:
Steep is notified
The lead may be added to pre-event reminders (if an email is provided and no prequalification is required)
5. Important Notes
Manually added leads will not have Catchlight scores generated
RSVP links are best used for registrations, not manual entry
